The Blanks

the real version of Ted’s Band from Scrubs comes to town

One guy won all the group’s hair in a bet.

If you’re a true fan of the hit television show Scrubs, you should know what I’m talking about when I mention Ted’s Band, the a cappella group that has appeared on many episodes. Believe it or not, Ted’s Band isn’t just a fictional group, made up to appear occasionally on the show. Apart from their appearances on the show, these four long-time friends call themselves The Blanks, and perform for audiences all over the country. Coming to the State Theatre on October 30th, The Blanks are sure to impress. Using no instruments, members of this comedic group rely solely on the pitch of their voices to make music and rely on the topics of their songs for the humor. Along with many television and movie themes (Six-Million-Dollar Man and Speed Racer to name a few), The Blanks’ first album, titled Riding the Wave, featured every song they’ve performed on Scrubs. While performing, The Blanks have been known to bring some additional members of the group to the stage – such as talking dolls that they insist are actually “action figures.” For more information about The Blanks, their upcoming show, or to purchase their CD, check out their website at www.theblankswebsite.com.
