    In the past, the YMCA and Hickory Hills Golf Course offered a program known as The First Tee of the Chippewa Valley, but recently revamped the program and the name. The new Y-Tee program is a golf instructional program offered through the Eau Claire YMCA. There are four different groups that youths can sign up for based on ability – Green Tee, Red Tee, White Tee, and Blue Tee and Beyond. Golf instruction, however, is not the sole purpose of the program. “We don’t just offer golf instruction,” program director Kaytlin LeMeir said. “We learn things about life lessons; we learn about core values; we learn about etiquette; we learn how to respect the course and respect the game.”
