Totally real.

This year will be the fourth year of the Bike Ride for Uganda, but the first time that it will be paired up with Green Bay Packers’ defensive tackle Ryan Pickett’s Tackle a Tower Fund that has raised close to $20,000 the past three years. Pickett donates $1,000 for every 10 tackles he records in a season to go towards building water towers in Uganda. The Bike Ride for Uganda is a charity bike ride from Eau Claire Memorial High School to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, spanning three days. On day one the riders will spend the night in Marshfield, then ride to Clintonville the second day, and then finally into Green Bay, where Pickett will join the riders for the final couple miles. It is there that the riders will get a chance to take pictures at Lambeau Field, have a tailgate party, and receive autographs from Pickett and other Packers. All riders are required to raise at least $100 in addition to the registration fees that cover hotel, food, and t-shirt costs. In addition to the pledges, the bike ride will also be receiving a portion of the proceeds from a Matcha Green Tea Latte stand that will be held at the Fortune Cookie restaurant all summer.
