Do you Tweet? If so, you’re in luck, because now you can follow Volume One’s tweets too. What’s a “tweet,” you ask? A tweet, delivered via “Twitter,” is basically a real-time “status update” like you’d have on a social networking site like Facebook. What’s “Facebook,” you ask? It’s a way for people to stay connected over long or short distances via messages or photo/video sharing and such on the internet. “What’s “the internet,” you ask?  Just kidding ...

But seriously, Volume One is now on Twitter. And whether you consider it  another ridiculous web fad, or a major part of journalism’s future, it’s here to stay. When you follow Volume One you can get automatic updates on the headlines of VolumeOne.org including links to content, real-time event photos, and give-away contests for Twitter-users only! If you’re on there, check it out.

This of course is only the latest installment of V1’s social networking, um, network. In addition to Twitter you can become a fan and follow updates on Facebook, you can subscribe to our videos on YouTube, and also brand new, you can view and tag photos on our Flickr page. The only social website we’re NOT on (besides the hundreds of sites that haven’t really moved past the “early adopter” phase) is Mypace. Because let’s be honest, at this point MySpace is sort of like the embarrassing drunk uncle at the social networking family reunion. And it’s always best to steer clear of that guy ...
