to Water Street

A Chippewa Valley doctor is in the process of renovating a Water Street building from an eyesore into a deli specializing in Middle Eastern/Syrian cuisine, called The Water Street Deli. Dr. Nizar Ottoman embarked upon this entrepreneurial quest when he realized he wanted to make the most of his passion for cooking, friend and fellow businessman Kevin Aldwaik said. Although this deli is somewhat specialized, it will also stock fundamental grocer items as well as the Middle Eastern falafels, kabobs, and seasoned rice – a delicious addition to an already bopping area dealing in the scrumptious. A property across from the Holiday gas station is currently being refurbished and is on schedule to be opened mid-March.
