Movie Series About Space ‘Lands’ at Library

Trevor Kupfer |

Whether you’ll celebrate this July 20 as the 40th anniversary of the moon landing or the 40th anniversary of some tricky filming involving a New Mexican desert, LE Phillips Memorial Public Library is setting the tone over the next few weeks with a film series entitled “Space, the Final Frontier.” The event started Jan. 6 with 2001: A Space Odyssey, and continues every subsequent Tuesday evening with The Right Stuff (Jan. 13), Apollo 13 (Jan. 20), Space Cowboys (Jan. 27), and Astronaut Farmer (Feb. 3). The free space-related films that have nothing to do with Michael Bay and an asteroid will screen in the Eau Claire Room at 7 pm, with popcorn and beverages.
