Midwest Tour for Gentle Guest

Andy Plank |

Two months after releasing his rowdy, drunken, dirty blues debut, We Are Bound to Save Some Souls Tonight, singer/songwriter Eric Rykal is hitting the road for a tour with a modified version of The Gentle Guest. The band’s local performances, which Rykal calls a “rowdy, theatrical spectacle,” have made big impression throughout the Chippewa Valley, featuring upwards of 10 members on stage at a time, strumming guitars and picking banjos, blaring trombones and beating floor toms. To keep the traveling life a bit more simple, a smaller pack of four are joining Rykal for the trip through Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska, with stops along the way at an impressive list of venues. The tour kicks off on November 7th. Visit www.myspace.com/thegentleguest for a complete list.
