Roots & Grass Fest Debuts

Aryn Widule |

The Fall Roots and Grass Festival is going on Oct. 2-4 in Black River Falls. The festival is put on by the Eau Claire folks from High Jive productions and the Campout Roots. It’s a close relative to the Campout Roots festival held at the same location earlier in the year, and features a collection of mainly bluegrass music over three days. The festival features larger regional acts like Pert Near Sandstone, Burnt Toast & Jam, and the Smokin’ Bandits, but also includes a great amount of local talent such as Downer’s Grove and Soul Logic. The event takes place on Highway 12, five miles north of Interstate 94. Tickets are $35 until Oct. 1 and $40 at the door. Take a look over at www.jambasetickets.com for more information.
