Tuesday 2-23-10 Rube Goldberg Egyptian MachineThis is a demonstration of the machine created by UW-Stout's 2010 Rube Goldberg Team, lead by Andrew Behnke. They chose an Egyptian style machine which works by dropping one marble in place, creating a chain reaction of events through obelisks, pyramids, gods, and more, all in an effort to sanitize a mummy's hand (in total, 120 steps). Behnke and his team recently qualified for the Rube Goldberg national competition, to be held Saturday, March 27, at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, |

Thursday 4-23-09 Fashion without Fabric 2009On Saturday night (April 18), a sellout crowd of about 700 people witnessed Stout’s annual fashion/art blow-out event “Fashion without Fabric.” Every year, UW-Stout art and design students produce unique fashions using anything and everything but fabric. Around 150 artists collaborated to produce 75 entries in this year’s catwalk extravaganza. |
