WATCH: S. Carey’s New Video for "More I See"

We’re just seven short days until the release of S. Carey’s glittering new record Hundred Acres, and now we’ve got our hands on a snowy new visual for the single “More I See,” which was directed by Brendan Lauer and shot locally in the wintery Chippewa Valley countryside.

Carey tapped into the pool of local talent for his new video.

Carey stars in the video alongside author Michael Perry, who plays a motorist that rescues Carey from a roadside accident(maybe?), takes him in to his home, makes him a part of the family, and goes about his business. With a singing and strumming Carey in tow, the situation makes for a funny and charming little music video.

Hundred Acres – which shifts the lush ambient style of Carey’s earlier work into some more guitar-driven Americana folk vibes – releases on Feb. 23 via Jagjaguwar. Carey is kicking off a lengthy tour in support of the record here in Eau Claire with a show backstage at the State Theatre on March 15 alongside Gordi.
