This coming of age film, "The North Passage" written by Charis Collins, mixes reality with fariy tale creating an inspirational tale about a young heroine who finds hope. The young heroine and her family must learn to survive in world experiencing economic struggles. The family flees to grandfather's farm where the heroine mysteriously meets her ancestors in an adverture that faces environmental, economic and social issues of contemporary life.
