I'll just be glad that it means they'll probably take that Ciao Line sign down.

Could be a Dunkin', but I always imaged that would be connected to a gas station.
More than likely it'll be yet another bank or yet another auto parts store.

Beth, you have to invest in your community or it's not a place worth living in. Have you lived in places with those low low property taxes you want? I have. I couldn't wait to leave. Bad schools, no parks, constant street flooding, every curb and sidewalk crumbling. You get what you pay for; you get out of your community what you put into it. The free market doesn't care about you, your neighbors, or our families.
I encourage you to try a more positive, creative, forward-thinking attitude, instead of your current "race to the bottom" thinking. Good day.

So Ninja Japanese House is closing today…

Typical Consumer, I guess you're supposed to sit around at home alone eating ramen packets and trolling people on the interwebs. That would make you a "hip" non-conformist.

Blue Moon, exposed

I never understood the Froot Loops comparison. As a kid I didn't care what flavor it was, you only eat it as a kid because it's that otherworldly blue color. But as an adult it seems pretty clear to me that it's the flavor of almond extract/marzipan.

I agree. I've come to learn since moving to Eau Claire that fireworks were not just one night, but rather a 1-2 week redneck extravaganza you just have to endure every year.
You'd think people would get bored after seeing the stuff blow up after 1 or 2 nights.

Reviewed: China Wok

A good, fast takeout place... by far the best Chinese takeout I've had in Eau Claire. Now, that's not saying much, because most of the Chinese takeout I've had is pretty dreadful stuff. But China Wok is just about on par with Chinese takeout you'd find in a larger city. There are actual vegetables, the black bean sauce actually has black beans, everything is cooked properly, the sauces have flavor, the deep fried stuff doesn't taste like the fryer hasn't been cleaned since the late 70s.

Lunch and dinner are of course very good, but Tacos Juanita is also a nice, quiet, friendly place for a weekend breakfast, with delicious food. Breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros, omelettes, and even pancakes. We like going here with the kids when we don't want to deal with the long waits at the Nucleus, or the mad (but efficient) assembly line feel that is Altoona Family Restaurant.

Easily the best sushi in Eau Claire. Ok, I know that's not saying much, but it really is good! Take a hungry date and order the sushi boat for 2! I haven't tried the hibachi, as I have no interest in it.

Reviewed: Noodle Wrap

The 5 stars are for two specific dishes they serve: The Pad Hmong and Hot & Spicy Beef. Both are incredibly tasty and I recommend going there for those. The few times I've tried ordering anything else I've found it quite bland. Egg rolls (noodle wraps) are good, but I kind of wish they used the thinner, crispier wrap like Pad Thai uses.
