People often say, "I wish there were a place in town to get good, vegetarian food." Pad Thai offers such a restaurant. 'Just enjoyed their #14 (tofu)stir fry last week and wondered--why haven't I come here more? Prices are reasonable and the portions are tasty and more than enough to eat. Friends ordered a dish & asked to split it and had two bowls of rice with their one order. They were more than satisfied. I preferred to eat my entire meal!

At times, I like to just sit and eat alone enjoying my meal. Some restaurants are more conducive to this atmosphere than others. I find this to be true of Randy's even though it's a Family Restaurant. The staff always makes me feel welcome and I can enjoy my meal in a peaceful and comfortable, clean, atmosphere. With that stated, I enjoy their fish fry but always get baked fish. I just had it last Friday, and it was so moist and tasty. I prefer to go before the rush hour and I'd suggest that to others if you like it restful. I think the fish may even be best at that time. The other thing I like is their fish chowder. So yummy!

This is really authentic Hmong cuisine! My favorite dish their spring roll with shrimp. On a hot day that hits the spot. Sometimes, I'll buy them for an appetizer. It's low in cals and my company has so enjoyed them I think their soups are good too, in particular I prefer the seafood. Be sure to get it straight as to what kind of noodles you prefer.

This is my favorite pizza in Eau Claire. I wrote a review for the Downtown Ink and learned they have their own secret recipe for their crust and it IS good. I get pizza with sausage and green peppers and "nothing ever tasted so good."

Years ago...when I was in NYC, a friend showed me how to pick out a good Chinese Restaurant. She said, "If it looked a bit rough in the inside, the food was probably good." We ended up at at great place that matched what she said. Egg Roll Plus, reminds me of that. The food is authentically Hmong. I order the seafood noodle soup (not rice) and it's a large portion. Sometimes I'll get their chicken stir fry which is tasty. My favorite is their spring roll--low in calories and tasty. Great on a hot summer day.

Thank heavens we have an ethnic restaurant in d.town EC that serves good Asian Food. Their soups are served hot and are filling. If you don't want to eat meat--this is the place to go. The stir fry is not overdone. You may have to wait awhile for a table at lunch hour. If you can get there more around 11:30, shouldn't be a problem.

I've eaten frequently at Randy's and my favorite is their baked fish sandwich. (You can have it on a toasted bun). It's both tasty and juicy. While it can be quite filling, sometimes--if really hungry, I'll get their chowder. That is more calories but really tasty. If you want to eat particularly healthy--see their heart healthy menu. They have a veggie meal too. The service is always good. Since I don't like long lines, I tend to eat on Friday's when it's not the rush hour. Everyone I know gets a kick out of the pudding served before the meal. I save it for desert!

'Enjoyed the best soup ever in this cozy, friendly restaurant. It was sausage and vegetable served very hot as I requested. However, the free bread that accompanied it was dry and tasteless. Friends and I enjoy having breakfast at Grand Ave, because they have marvelous oatmeal that can be requested with the works. Their muffins are good, too. I've taken company on a walking tour in the neighborhood and it's fun to haunt boutiques that are nearby.

Affordable and comfortable dining atmosphere. The menu is limited and stays the same, but never disappointing. Its humus pita sandwich is heart healthy--so you can have the most wonderful ice cream afterwards. My favorite is their chocolate-peanut butter. When it's a warm day, I particularly, enjoy biking in downtown EC and stopping in at this restaurant for a light lunch!
