Artist Reception: Tim Tozer Sabbatical Show, Deflector

UW-Stout School of Art & Design faculty, Tim Tozer will exhibit his paintings on shaped panels that were produced during his sabbatical leave, in the north gallery. There will also be a photography exhibit from the Furlong’s permanent collection in the south gallery. Refreshments will be served.

Catch Me If You Can, Menomonie High School Musical

Based on the incredible true story, this high-flying musical comedy set in the 1960s is about an ingenious, charming runaway who masquerades as a teacher, pilot, doctor and lawyer, fabricates millions of dollars in counterfeit checks, and leads the FBI on an international chase, all before age 21.

St. Paul Ballet’s Carmen in the 1920’s

Head back to the F. Scott Fitzgerald era with a fresh adaptation on the Bizet opera, Carmen. St. Paul Ballet fully embraces Fitzgerald’s description of the era:“the parties were bigger. The pace was faster, the shows were broader, the buildings were higher, the morals were looser, and the liquor was cheaper."

Free Community Yoga

Instructor, Teresa Kruger is a 200 hour certified yoga and meditation instructor. Community Yoga is designed to accommodate yoga practitioners of all levels. Will cover yoga postures, some yogic philosophies, and go through some guided relaxation/meditation.

Joyce Ash: Poetry Reading

This event will feature a reading by Dr. Joyce Ash, originally from Cameroon, currently Associate Professor of English at University of Hartford. She is the author most recently of Beautiful Fire, a collection of poems. Her poetry has been translated into multiple languages and her work has appeared in many international anthologies of poetry
