Political Reform Chautauqua
The 1st Wisconsin Political Reform Chautauqua will be held in Menomonie Sept. 7 & 8. It is sponsored by Wisconsin United to Amend (WIUTA) and the Rassbach Museum (Dunn County Historical Society). In the spirit of Chautauquas of the late 1800's and early 1900's this event will highlight the arts and music of Western Wisconsin, education for all age groups, and political reform.
Food will be continental breakfasts, subway sandwiches for lunch and an evening potluck. Entertainment will start at 6:30 on Saturday evening with musicians from Menomonie and Eau Claire at the Wakanda. Speakers will be retired Republican Senator Dale Schulz and investigative journalist and former governor candidate Mike McCabe. Presentations will be given by Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, Unite America, Fair Maps, WIUTA, and Rank Choice Voting. Sunday at 1 PM the LWV will present the passage of the 19th Amendment "Thank you, Grandma: Celebrating 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage."
Cost: $25 for adults, free for students
