Symphony Seeks Posters Designed by Students

Barbara Arnold |

What do you see when you listen to music? If you’re a student in kindergarten through 12th grade in the Chippewa Valley, you can share you vision and help promote the Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra! K-12 students are invited to design posters based on the themes of the CVSO’s four upcoming concerts: “Winter Jubilee!” on Dec. 13 (including songs from Disney’s Frozen), “Celebration of Love” on Valentine’s Day, “Music of the World” on March 14, and the “Titans of Spring” concert May 16, featuring Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 (“Titan”). Winners will have their artwork featured on that concert’s poster, win a pair of tickets to that concert, and win up to $200. Entries must be from a single applicant (not a group), be at least 14-by-14-inches in size, and be easily photographed or scanned. An application must be filled out and returned with the artwork to the CVSO offices at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center by Friday, Nov. 21. For more information, official rules, and an application form, call (715) 832-6366, email jenn@cvsymphony.org, or visit or www. cvsymphony.org.
