Karma Yoga Series: Be The Match

For the yogi that wants to give back to our community. Donate as much or as little as you are comfortable doing and in exchange, we offer you a free (Level 1) yoga class. Karma Yoga classes occur once per month. Please pre-register to reserve your space and for faster check-in.

Southview Bear Crawl 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk

Two course distances are offered. All proceeds will go toward the purchase of an inclusive playground so children of all ages, cognitive levels and abilities can play equally and break down barriers during playtime. Race Starts at 9am, with packet pick up at 7:30am.

Chippewa Valley Rock N' Roll Kickball Classic

This two-day tournament is returning for its seventh year and teams are ready to rumble. The classic is not just for the players – everyone is invited – free of charge! In addition to kickball there will be a DJ. Other activities include free Kubb, Beanbags, and a playground for the kids. There will also be a wide variety of eats and drinks for purchase. Proceeds support the Altoona Parks & Recreation.

Jack O' Lantern Festival & 5K Zombie Run

Join us for a cryptic, fall evening 5K Zombie Run that will take runners through the haunted woods of Spooner. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to dress up in their scariest zombie attire. Day of race registration 2:30-4:30pm. The Jack O'Lantern Festival will have carving and scarecrow contests, inflatables and kids activites, and craft and farmer's market.

Royal Credit Union Charity Classic

Features a 10K run/walk, a 2-mile run/walk and two children's races. Races begin and end by the Royal CU Corporate Center in Phoenix Park. Proceeds from the event are being donated by the Royal Credit Union Foundation to benefit Beaver Creek Reserve. Register online.

Run With the Cops 5K for Special Olympics

You’ve heard of a ride along, but what about a run along? Join dozens of law enforcement officers for this 5k to benefit local Special Olympics athletes. Do you have what it takes to outrun the cops? This unique evening glow run follows a 5k run and 1 mile walk route on campus and through parts of downtown Eau Claire. There’s also a kids’ ¼ mile run. Get a T-shirt and coffee and donuts afterwords

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Walk

Families who have suffered a loss – either recently or at any time – are encouraged to gather at the Main Pavilion in Irvine Park near the duck pond. The walk will then proceed to the nearby bridge for a brief memorial service and flower ceremony. The walk will continue for a short loop back to the duck pond (less than one mile).
