If you’re a visual artist, the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center is interested in your work – and not for an exhibit this time. ECRAC has put out a call to regional artists to create awards for its annual Jubilee fundraising gala on June 8. “The selected artist will create four original works of art to be showcased as awards highlighting artists, art enthusiasts, and art supporters for their contribution towards the arts in the Chippewa Valley,” ECRAC says. “Jubilee has been Eau Claire’s preeminent art-related event for over two decades, showcasing area performing and visual artists to art enthusiasts throughout the Chippewa Valley.” Interested artists may submit up to three designs (in the form of sketches, photos, or mock-up drawings) by Feb. 23. The designs must be of two- or three-dimensional works that are of a size and scale that can be easily handled as awards. The winning design will be picked by mid-March, and the finished awards must be delivered to ECRAC by June 1. The chosen artist will receive an $800 stipend and two Jubilee tickets for the artists’ use only. Submit your artwork ideas or direct your questions to Rose Dolan-Neill, ECRAC’s director of visual arts, at rose@eauclairearts.com or (715) 832-2787.
