Blue Moose Grill & Steak House

This Southern influenced restaurant is an old school kind of steakhouse. Right away customers will notice a moose up on the bar and some chainsaw-carved grizzly bears. Comfort your palate by the fireplace with some pecan chicken, barbecue ribs, or sweet potato pancakes with maple or honey butter. Catering is available as well as banquet rooms, Sunday brunch, and vegetarian options.

Avg Price: $15-$35

Steakhouse

Fischer's On The Green

A casual to dressy upscale steak and seafood restaurant with a great view. Known for their dry-aged steaks. Private party rooms available, some outdoor patio seating, vegetarian friendly, and catering available.

Steakhouse

High Shores Supper Club

Home of “fine dining in a casual atmosphere,” High Shores is nestled on the edge of Lake Wissota. The kitchen cuts the trademark steaks by hand and menu favorites like the blackened ribeye and stuffed fillet mignon just might turn you into a regular. Seafood options like perch, blue gills, crappies, king crab, tiger shrimp, and salmon won't hurt, either. If the weather’s nice, motor up to one of the restaurant’s lake docks. Ask about the dinner cruise. Outdoor seating, vegetarian friendly, private party pavilion.

Avg Price: Entrée: $10-$20

Steakhouse

Houligans Steak & Seafood Pub

Rich, worn-in woodwork threads across the walls of Houligans - take a seat at the bar, or in the cozy dining area. It's a great place to grab a beer and a hearty meal. The menu offers a top-notch selection of steaks and seafood, but the Candied Garlic New York Strip is the big crowd-pleaser. Outdoor seating, private party room, vegetarian friendly.

Avg Price: Entrée: $12-$32

Steakhouse

Jake's Supper Club

With a menu as large as Jake’s, it’s hard to pinpoint a signature item, but if you ask a regular, they’ll point right to the slow-roasted prime rib. Terrific Lake views, live entertainment all summer long, and a huge Sunday brunch buffet leave you little (if any) reason to stay away. Three decks of outdoor seating, private party rooms, and banquet services.

Avg Price: Entrée: $10-$20

Steakhouse

Porter’s

Make sure you take a gander at Porter’s beautiful bar, decked out in rich woodwork (not to mention 12 beer taps). A steak, seafood, and chop house, Porter’s has a classy atmosphere where diners can enjoy everything from upscale suppers to the popular lunchtime meatloaf. Open for breakfast every day, and featuring a worldly menu of Indian, Arabian, and Mexican items. Open late on weekends, private party/meeting room available, and vegetarian friendly.

Avg Price: Entrée: $7-$40

Eau Claire • 855-0856 • adaeauclaire.com

Steakhouse

Sparx Restaurant

Sparx is the ultimate "meat and potatoes" kind of place. Specializing in "incredible burgers and smokin' good steaks," Sparx's menu also includes vegetarian options like Butternut Squash Ravioli as well as signature drinks at their full-service bar. Try the Sparx Burger, a bacon cheeseburger with special Sparx sauce, or one of their many steaks and walk away more than satisfied. Open late, and outdoor patio.

Avg Price: $5-$25

Menomonie • 235-3000 • www.sparxrestaurant.com/

Texas Roadhouse

Upbeat and energetic, Texas Roadhouse is “that place they line dance every hour.” Their culinary claims to fame are hand-cut steaks and award-winning fall-off-the-bone ribs. Their bread is baked fresh all day long, and they make all dressings and side dishes from scratch. Open late on weekends.
