Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que
A fun family destination with good music and an energetic staff. From Texas beef brisket to chopped pork to rib plates from four to 12 bones, there's plenty of BBQ to go around. Private party room, delivery, and catering a specialty.

Sorry to drop another name in here, but I personally go to Mikes Smokehouse over Daves. The main reason the side dishes. Who really wants Jalapeno peppers in thier baked beans? Not me. Other then that the food is really good, but the sides are what stop be from returning to often. |

Got pick up tonight, food was sitting on pay counter with no one around, who knows how long it was sitting there. Drove 70 miles round trip for their delicious corn muffins (the best anywhere, the only reason I would ever go to famous daves again). No tops on tarter sauce so that was a mess all over, fish was not crunchy and good but barely done, they forgot my 12 corn muffins that I went there for in the first place, gave us 4 mini ketchups for two orders and included NO napkins. Very Poor Service!! |

If you're in to barbeque food, this is your restaurant. Their servers are always friendly---whether you're at their bar or a table. |

Decent food, decent service. Nothing to write home about, but a nice spot to stop if you are in the mood. |

We have always left Famous Dave's very content. It's a great casual atmosphere and the food is consistently tasty and plentiful. The servers have always been friendly and enjoyable. |

A big appetite is a must-have for Famous Daves. Not a very vegetarian-friendly place (but it is do-able). The kids love the clown-lady who makes balloon hats and animals! I love the assortment of sauces! |

Ah, Famous Dave's. If you're in the mood to pig out like a Texan, this is the place to be. The menu has a decent assortment of American BBQ/Grill favorites, and all the sauce and paper towels you need are right there at your table. The menu might be a little pricey, but if you have a BIG appetite for this kind of food, Famous Dave's will fill you up. Seriously. |

The menu is varied and the food is always tremendous - you'll find something even if you (gasp) don't like BBQ. I have eaten almost everything they have and never had anything I didn't like! The servers are friendly and Wednesday night is family night with a great lady as a clown/face painter. Our favorite family place! |

I love Famous Daves. I've never had bad food there and the atmosphere and service is fanstastic. Yummy, yummy! |

There is everything to love about Famous Dave's. The atmosphere is friendly and it always seems so cozy there-and the smell is yummy. A great place for lunch or to go and enjoy a reasonably priced happy hour(: |

I'm not a fan. I think for those accompanying people who love ribs, but don't enjoy them themselves have a very difficult time finding something good on the menu. I gave it a 3 anyway because the people I go with seem to like it. |

We got the sampler and had WAY too much - it was just as good the next day! Our only disappointment was the forgetful service. But seeing as we had waltzed in just before close, they were probably just tired and thinking about getting home. We forgot that nobody eats at 9:30 in Eau Claire - that's in the middle of the night, for cripe's sake! |

Good atmosphere but I have been dissapointed with the food. The meat on the sandwiches was not good and I only finished half of my meal. |

The steakhouse sandwiches melt in your mouth! The garbage can lid is fun to split between friends. Not as good as the original restaurant in Hayward, but I still highly recommend. |

finger lickin good. to die for corn muffins, I always get 2 (because I dont like corn on the cob much). I even have a bottle of F D bbq sauce in my fridge! |

A comfortable place where the service is always good. They have an extensive menu to fit whatever mood you're in -- whether just a sandwich or a big meal. My favorites are the beef brisket and the Georgia pulled pork, and of course the ribs are good, too. Sometimes it's hard to decide which of their several tasty sauces to choose. And the prices are relatively reasonable. |

Great down-home food. They give you a roll of paper towels instead of a napkin, kids will love that! Try the ribs of course, but the lesser-known Chicken Wild Rice soup will make you swoon. |

Yummy is that enough? Very good food and the price is pretty good. I love the BBQ sauce! |

GOTTA LOVE Famous Dave's. The ribs were very meaty and flavorful. I ordered them “neked” (without sauce) because you can hide a lot with sauce. The flavor was great! Then add a little sauce, there are several to choose from, and you will be hooked. The brisket had a great smoke flavor that wasn’t overpowering. No wonder they win “Best Ribs” in many competitions. |

Love Famous Daves. Great prices, great food. I'd recommend the 'two meat combo' so you can try a couple things. Although a couple other reviews bashed the pulled pork, the few times I've ordered it, the pork has been awesome. |

Good BBQ pork for a chain restaurant and for Eau Clair. Inconsistant pulled pork sandwich. I had to send it back once for too much fat. Service is good. |

Do you judge a rib by how easily it falls off the bone? If so, then Famous Dave's isn't for you. But if you like ribs the way they should be then this is the place to go for BBQ in Eau Claire. True, it's a chain restaurant, but they've got great food, consistency, a nice selection of sauces (my favorite is the Texas Pit), plenty of seating space, fun atmosphere, and they understand what many locally owned restaurants don't: a good staff and good customer service are the most important things of all. Sure, there are hundreds of BBQ joints better than Famous Dave's. Unfortunately, none are in the Chippewa Valley. |

Unfortunately pretty similar to other chain BBQ places. |

Ya gotta love Famous Dave's! |

It doesn't take a scientist to see why this place got V1's best of. The food is phenomenal and the service is excellent. The seats are a little hard though..but that wouldn't stop me from going there. |
