Micon Downtown Cinema screened 50 “fantastic, frightening, offbeat, and just plain weird” films March 9-11 for the second annual MidWest WeirdFest film festival. Festival director Dean Bertram describes the event as “A broad, if shadow-filled, tent, for all cinematic creations weird and wonderful.” The selected works included documentaries, short and feature films, animated pieces, and more.
