Blugold Beginnings Robotics Competition

On Saturday, April 29, the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire’s Blugold Beginnings organization and the Eau Claire Area School District hosted their first robotics competition at DeLong Middle School in Eau Claire. There were 15 teams of local students along with their college mentors, who designed and programed robots to compete. Teams from South, Northstar and DeLong Middle Schools participated in the inaugural event. Students were judged based on robot design, the robot’s ability to navigate a challenge course, and teamwork.
