Turning the State Theatre's stage into a black box theater, director Jake Lindgren produced three installments of Gruesome Playground Injuries (written by Rajiv Joseph) – March 17, 18, and 19. Starring Molly Wilson and Sean Porten, the play takes place over 30 years, following the lives of Kayleen and Doug as they intersect at the most bizarre intervals, leading the two childhood friends to compare scars and the physical calamities that keep drawing them together.
