Presented by ECRAC, WUEC, and Volume One, the Back Stage Concert Series takes place behind the curtain on the stage at the State Theater.  More a ragtag group of classic Irish troubadours than a local folk ensemble, the Shillelagh Lads play an assortment of traditional Irish folk songs, ballads, sing-alongs and occasional originals fit for dancing, boot-stomping and general rabble rousing. Their instrumentation includes acoustic guitar, mandolin, accordion, and Irish flute. Dead Dogs are an Eau Claire-based blues rock band soaked in whiskey and bootstomps, featuring songwriting madman Nick Fennel and trumpet virtuoso Jeff Walk (not pictured). This event took place on Thursday, March 14.
