On Saturday, Sept. 8,  organizers finished installing the River Bend Art Project – a local artistic collaboration between UWEC art students and school-aged students of the Chippewa Valley. The collaboration seeks to create a sculptural installation along the Chippewa River in response to areas of flooding. Students were invited to participate in the making and placing of "flood catcher" sculptures in the trees along the river bend in order to process ideas about loss and rebirth in the flood zones.
