As you’ve no doubt heard, The Stones Throw in downtown Eau Claire closed recently, adding another notch to the venue’s scorecard of owners. This last group gave the club a pretty solid go over the past few years, but it was not meant to be. We could whine on about the dent this is leaving in the local live music scene, but instead, let’s focus on something positive: Volume One was able to snag their shuffle board table. It’s huge, it’s heavy, and it’s all ours. We’re not entirely sure where to put it, but don’t worry, we’ll figure it out. So while The Stones Throw is shuffling through owners, we’ll be shuffling little pucks down a long, smooth lane. Take heart, shuffle board lovers, the table lives on.
