School’s out Day Camp at the Children’s Museum

V1 Staff |

The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire is now offering a fun solution for kids in grades kindergarten through second grade on days off from school on Monday, Nov. 25, and Tuesday, Nov. 26 (right before Thanksgiving). School’s Out Day Camp will be offered on a day-by-day basis from 9:30am to 3:30pm for a $50 charge for members and $60 charge for non-members per day. Wraparound childcare will be available beginning at 8:00am and lasting until 5:00pm for an extra $10.

School’s Out Day Camp will offer special activities and the chance to enjoy museum staples during an activity-filled day. Kids will spend half of the day cooking in the Let’s Get Cooking kitchen, where they will have the chance to use real kitchen tools to prepare and eat what they make. They will bring a cold lunch with them to the Children’s Museum,  where they will have time to eat and play. Next, they’ll enjoy the FailSafe STEAM Lab, making anything they want.  They will have access to maker supplies, and they get to take their creation home.

The camp ends at 3:30pm. School’s Out may be offered again in the future on other school breaks, but for now, the museum has to see what the enrollment is. Space is limited to 12 kids per day, and the program will not be offered on days where fewer than five children are registered.
