On June 21 The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire will host a special event called Parfaits with a Princess from 10:30–11:30am, and Crystal Siemers-Peterman, the 70th Alice in Dairyland, will join kids to make tiaras and breakfast yogurt parfaits while teaching them about Wisconsin’s rich agricultural tradition.

Visitors will also have the chance to snap a photo and get an autograph. This event will be free with Museum membership or admission, but registration is required and space fills up quickly. Parents can register their children at ChildrensMuseumEC.com. Alice in Dairyland was founded in 1948 and is a one-year, full-time professional position as an Agricultural Ambassador for the State of Wisconsin.

Siemers-Peterman grew up on her family’s Holstein dairy farm in Manitowoc County. There she discovered her love for Wisconsin’s agriculture industry and was actively involved in the Manitowoc County Junior Holstein Association, Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association and Manitowoc County 4-H.

The Children’s Museum of Eau Claire will host several other dairy-themed events and programs throughout the month of June to celebrate Dairy Month. Guests will have the opportunity to make their own ice cream, make homemade butter, plant a bean seed, and taste a variety of cheeses and learn about how they are made. The full program schedule can be found atChildrensMuseumEC.com.
