The Oz Run - 5k Run/Walk and Half Marathon

Saturday, May 27 • 8am-1pm
Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds

Wizard of Oz themed 5K Run/Walk and Half Marathon benefitting Irvine Park and this year: Southview Elementary Barrier Free Playground. Registered runners get race shirt and medal. Run is chip-timed. Finish line festival in "Emerald City" with runner costume contest, and award for top finishers. Live music from The Man 2 Man Band. Food for purchase includes hot dogs and brats from Sailer's Food Market and Meat Processing in Elmwood, and beer and root beer with proceeds going to our beneficiaries. Munchkin Land for the kids features a petting zoo, face painting, and a bounce house. A local race benefitting local groups. 

Marigold Cafe at River Bend

Marigold Cafe is a local food truck that specializes in Italian fare. They offer delicious grilled paninis and decadent gelato. It's recommended to bring your own seating in case the patio is full.

Live Music on the Patio: Jess McChesney

Autumn Harvest Winery
AKA The Flying Carpet Show, Jess McChesney uses phrase sampling to bring depth to his solo show. Plays a variety of styles, genres, and grooves from classic, progressive, and folk rock, to funk and bluegrass.

Kenton's Place Presents: Parents Date Night 

Saturday, May 27 • 5pm-11:30pm 
Clarion Inn Campus Area
A date night planned for parents who struggle to find a night away from the kids. Sponsored by Kenton's Place Family Support Center with Kid's Kingdom Early Childcare. Free daycare, silent auction, vendor show, comedy show, fancy dinner, dancing, and more. Dress for a classy evening, and let the kids have fun too.

3rd Annual Downsville Community Museum Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Downsville Community Museum
Menu: homemade buttermilk pancakes with fruit toppings, real maple syrup from Eau Galle Apiaries, sausage from Springbrook Meats, juice and coffee.

Leinenkugel's Chippewa Valley Century Ride

Sunday, May 28 • 7am-6pm
Irvine Park
Starting at Irvine Park, Chippewa Falls, WI. Century Ride (35, 50, 75, or 100 miles). Rest stops with food and water, sag wagons, and brat feed. The course, all on blacktop roads, leads through the beautiful farmland of Chippewa County along the Chippewa and Flambeau Rivers, Lakes Wissota and Holcombe, and through the kettle moraine topography of the Chippewa County Forest. The entry fee includes brats and all the 'fixins', soda and Leinenkugel's beer. Registration: 7am-10am. www.chippewavalleyride.us for more information and registration form.

Eau Claire Memorial Day Parade

Wilson Park to Owen Park
The parade begins at 9:30am at Wilson Park and ends at Owen Park. The Memorial Day Program begins immediately following the parade. Lakeview Cemetery at 10:30am. Forest Hill Cemetery at 11am.

Fall Creek Lions Club Charcoal Chicken Dinner

Annual Memorial Day Charcoal Chicken Dinner held at Keller Park, in Fall Creek. Serving from 10:30am till chicken is gone. Proceeds benefit various community projects.
