The Continental Ballet’s The Nutcracker 

Dec. 18 • Mabel Tainter Center • 7:30pm • Whether produced by Bloomington, MN’s Continental Ballet Company or Russian performers who fly in for an annual tour, take the kids along for a this enchanting classic ballet.

Christmas Village Opening Night

Nov. 26 • Irvine Park • 5-9:30pm • More than 100,000 Christmas lights will turn the park into a wintry wonderland, featuring life-sized Christmas scenes replicating the Victorian era and Chippewa Falls’ early history. Foot traffic welcome 5-6:30pm, but only vehicles will be admitted after 6:30pm. The Christmas Village will be open until the beginning of January.

Holiday Double Header: A Charlie Brown Christmas + Twas the Night Before Christmas

Dec. 4-6 & 11-13 • The Grand Theatre • The classic Peanuts television special comes to life in this faithful stage adaptation, where Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the gang find the real meaning of Christmas. In the second feature, a mouse, elf, and spunky little girl who won’t take no for an answer goes on a quest to find out why Santa missed their house last year.

Christmastime in the City

Dec. 6 • Downtown Eau Claire (parking lot in front of the Children’s Museum of Eau Claire) • noon-5pm • Held the first weekend every December, Christmastime in the City celebrates the traditional holiday spirit in downtown Eau Claire. Families will create simple, special holiday memories cherished for years to come. In previous years the event featured lunch with Santa, horse-drawn wagon rides, reindeer, the lighting of the tree, and much more.

WinterDaze

Dec. 10 • Downtown Menomonie • 4pm • This holiday celebration in downtown Menomonie features a lighted parade at 6:30pm. Before then, visit with Santa, meet the reindeer, and sip hot chocolate 4-6pm at the UW-Stout Clocktower Plaza. Horse drawn wagon rides available. After the parade enjoy fireworks over Lake Menomin.
