Fall Harvest Fest

Fri.-Sun., Sep. 18-Oct. 25 • Valley Pasture Farm, Elk Mound • 10am-6pm

Enjoy a wide assortment of fall activities at this local farm, including a pumpkin patch, corn maze, wagon rides, bouncy houses, pumpkin bowling, mini golf, pedal toy track, gemstone mining, pet and farm animal feeding, plus the Spooky Ridge Trail, Magical Woodland Maze, and much more.

Scarecrow Makin’ Days

Saturdays Sep. 19-Oct. 3 • Down to Earth Garden Center, Eau Claire • 10am

Bring along some old, funky clothes, boots, hats, and other fashionable accessories to make a scarecrow. Down to Earth provide the straw. Post pictures on their Facebook page for a chance to win an award for the most original scarecrow.

International Fall Festival

Sep. 19 • Downtown EC • 11am-6pm

Come celebrate the culture of the Chippewa Valley and beyond in this all day downtown festival, featuring art, crafts, street performers, food, pony rides, a petting zoo, and a Parade of Nations at 3pm.

Kids of Steel Triathlon

Sep. 20 • YMCA, Eau Claire • 2-4pm

The perfect event for your adventurous little one age 5-12, each athlete will swim in the YMCA pool, run to Owen Park, and bike the Chippewa River Trail. Distances will be determined by age, and kids get a water bottle, t-shirt, and finisher’s medallion. Sign up now!

Hmong Tiger Tales

Sep. 27 • The Heyde Center • 2-3pm

Presented by Mu Performing Arts, enjoy three fun and short plays based on Hmong folk stories about tigers. “Tiger and Crow” tells the story of how the crow tricked the tiger into having fewer cubs. “Mother Tigress” tells the story of a tiger that raises a child. In “Yer and the Tiger,” a young girl outwits a tiger who has infiltrated her family. There will be time after the plays for children to ask questions and try on the masks.
