Pinehurst Project swooshes forth

Since last year, the slopes at the Pinehurst Park been in seemingly constant motion as the  Pinehurst Project builds a better wintertime park for all ages to enjoy. In the fall, they began re-grading the hill to make it safer for sledders, tubers, skiers and snowboarders. Then they began setting up small rail features for the terrain portion of the park. Most recently, Dynamic Fitness & Strength – a local metal fabrication company – has donated several more rail features. “We plan to keep the features progressive and safe at the new terrain park” says Christian Peterson, president of the board for The Pinehurst Project. Peterson continued to say that the new features would be ‘signal orange’ to stand out to the riders, as well as be low to the ground and have a wide base to “lessen the risk on the features and help riders progress more in the sports.” To promote the new features, organizers made a short video highlighting the new rail features, which can be viewed below ...
