A special note from Volume One: For some people, the annual Volume One Membership Drive is all about the V1 Card and all the deals you can use over and over all year (not to mention the other fun stuff you get in the upper member levels). And that’s great, because those people are supporting an array of local businesses when they use the card. But for other people, the Membership Drive is about supporting Volume One and our work in the community. Every year we hear from people who become members simply because they believe in what Volume One does. Whether it’s because of the magazine, the website, or one of the free events we produce for the community – we feel loved when people let us know they approve by helping to support our staff and work.

Of course, Volume One is mostly sustained by advertising revenue from the local business community. But we’ve always liked the idea of being partly “reader-supported” as well. Know this: We sincerely appreciate your vote of confidence in Volume One.
