"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh-cappella!" (UWEC's Innocent Men)

UW-Eau Claire's a cappella groups are tired of traveling out-of-state to compete for harmonic supremacy, so they've decided to organize their own intercollegiate a capella competition right here at home. The two-day event kicks off with a concert on Friday night featuring UWEC's six a cappella ensembles. (Fifth Element, Innocent Men, Audacious, Girl's Night Out, and Impromptu, for those at home keeping score.)

The actual competition will commence Saturday afternoon with clinics presented by Mankato, MN-based Home Free, winners of the 2010 Chicago Harmony Sweepstakes. The event will culminate in another concert featuring the competition winners and Home Free on Saturday night.

The Friday night concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for the general public. Saturday night's concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for everyone. Both concerts will be in Schofield Auditorium on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
