Rock Fest ... Rock around the clock. Rock and roll all night. Rock out. Rock on. Rock your socks off. Rock your face off. Rock’em sock’em robots. Fraggle Rock. Rock you like a hurricane. Rock steady. Rock lobster. Rock-et-man. Rocket sauce. Rock-u-mentary. Rock out with your…well, you get it. Four nights, 18 bands, enough rock to last you another 364 days. To those about to rock, we say: please rock responsibly. (24447 County Highway S Cadott, WI 54727; Thurs-Sun, all day; rock-fest.com)

LAWN GAMES | 2010 U.S. National Kubb Championship: Kubb (rhymes with tube): a lawn game in which players throw sticks to knock over smaller blocks before they can knock over the biggest block to win. Sound lame? Oh really? Vikings played this game. Big burly Vikings. There must have been downtime between pillaging and crossing the Atlantic centuries before Columbus. (Boyd Park, Eau Claire; Sat, 9:30am to 8pm; $10 to play, free to watch.)

ART FAIR | 37th Annual Stockholm Art Fair: It’s actually outside the Chip Valley, but it’s worth the drive. Over 100 juried regional artists will be displaying and selling their work, including pottery, wood, wearable art, metal sculpture, paintings, drawings, clay sculpture, a wide variety of jewelry, glass, leather and photography. There’s also live music all day by various solo artists and group ensembles. (Village Park off of Hwy 35, Stockholm, WI; Sat, 10am-5pm; free admission.)

REVIVAL | 2nd Annual Shake, Rattle & Roll Revival: The perfect afternoon if you miss (or missed) those Leave it to Beaver days. Check out the Oldies But Goodies Car Show, swap meet, and several local and regional music artists performing classic 50's tribute concerts (the likes of Dion & Buddy Holly, Rod Stewart and Elvis). Rock your bobby socks off at the dance contest and best 50's attire contest. (Westgate Sportsman Club, Eau Claire; Sat, 9am; $3-$20, under 12 free with adult admission.)

The rest of Saturday here. More of a Sunday person? This link's for you.
