To Do Today: Fourth of July

AMERICA: Freedom Fest | For one day only, Menomonie turns in to the Freedom-i-est place on Earth (or just the Chip Valley). It’s everything you love about the Fourth of July: Bingo, fireworks, cowboys, face-painting, football, bouncy castles, everything. (Pretend to) be a real American hero at “Fire Hose Fun” with the Menomonie Firefighters, or make our forefathers proud by dominating the Swiss Miss Pudding Eating Contest, or marvel at American progress and ingenuity with a mini train ride. This is going to be the best fourth ever. (Wakanda Park, Menomonie; 11am, fireworks at 10pm; $1 admission.)
