Chad’s Take
: Science or Romance?

You would be surprised at how many times I have gathered stories where a husband or wife passed away just hours after their loved one. Most people think these stories only take place in cheesy Hollywood romances, yet in simple everyday Wisconsin life couples dying within hours of one another were commonplace. Those with a scientific eye would assume these “old residents” were both in poor health and suffered from an illness that caused their death. However, others might assume that the loss of a life-long partner may be tragic enough to facilitate death. Unfortunately you have to decide for yourself as the article only stated that they died very suddenly, and no cause of death was listed.

**Addition – As far as I have been able to tell Fall City was right outside of present day Elk Mound**
