Hauntings
Who you gonna call? Join us for a romp through some local ghost hunting stories.
words by Trevor Kupfer
If they had one wish, every 10-year-old boy that grew up in the 80s would invariably choose to be a ghostbuster, if only for one day. With this, Volume One’s invaluable guide to ghost hunting, some of us were able to satisfy decades of longing. If you follow our lead as detailed in these pages, you, too, will be able to hop into a slick taupe jumpsuit, sport a backpack that you pretend is a weapon, and helm the power of neverending sarcastic wit for a once-in-a-lifetime busting. So read away, and happy hunting.

When you all wrote this you didn't do a whole lot of digging. The only kid that died, died from Pnemonia at Luther Hospital his name was David Grohn. There was no preist that hung himself. There is no girl that was raped, no one has drowned out there that has been proven,The "hidden" graveyard is the Palmer family graveyard, the other graveyard is just that an old graveyard, there has never been a sanitarium, no one was murdered, the strange animal noises can be explained because you are in the middle of the woods there are going to be wild animals, to my knowledge a girl named Mary Dean is buried on the island but she died after becoming very sick on the ferry that used to cross there. The only thing the "ghost stories" do is create a huge vandalism issue and destruction of private property. If someone would actually print the facts for once and stop calling it haunted maybe the kids wouldn't go out there anymore.

I was there for the "Clarence" and "Elsie" clips, and we didn't hear a thing at the time. So yeah. weird. These sound bites are a concept they referred to as EVP (electronic voice phenomena), and though we couldn't hear anything at the time, they told us that when you listen later you can. It's a weird aspect of the ghost hunting experience, and one that skeptics often point to as the most questionable.

The paranormal audio is CREEPY!!! It gave me some serious goosebumps. Did you guys hear that outloud or was it one of those "ghost voices?"
