Llama-o-rama!

The suri llama is a well-represented creature. Especially now that three Chippewa Valley business owners snagged top honors for their annual publication, Suri Llama, by the Livestock Publications Council. Victoria Miller is a longtime breeder, owner of Silver Moon Suri Llamas in Eleva, and the Suri Llama Association’s first president. She teamed up with independent graphic designer Kristi Gausman and editor and award-winning writer Alan Jenkins to create the magazine in 2006. In addition, the SLA received first place for their Ancient Treasure Sale catalog’s 2007 presentation. The association was formed to give this breed of llamas an official status in tha animal world and enlighten the public. For more information, check out www.surillama.com.
