10th Annual Eau Claire Big Rig Truck Show

Features over-the-road semi-trucks from across the United States and Canada. Military and law enforcement vehicles. Antique trucks. Free rides. Truck parade. Beer gardens, food & vendors, outdoor exhibitors, live music and more. Night parade on Friday, and a demolition derby on Saturday at 2pm.

Hobbs Observatory Astronomical Series

Programs on various astronomical related topics are presented by members of the Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society. Programs run 45-60 minutes in length. Check the CVAS website for this week's topic and target audience. Observing follows programs if skies are clear.

Observing The Night Sky With The Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society

Members of the Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society sponsor public observing sessions on clear Saturdays May though October (except 8/6/16). Public observing starts about an hour after sunset for about two hours. Come out and enjoy a view of the night sky not possible from the city.
