UWEC Film Series: Kubo and The Two Strings

Kubo lives a quiet, normal life in a small shoreside village until a spirit from the past turns his life upside down by re-igniting an age-old vendetta. Introduction to Hockey

Interested in the sport of hockey? This is the perfect opportunity for young players with limited skating experience to be introduced to hockey through guided play on indoor ice. Participants will be divided into teams each night and allowed to play. Instructors will give minor instruction as the games progress. Participants will need hockey skates, stick, and helmet.

One Flute Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Julie Majkowski and her flute playing friends, featuring the Chippewa Valley Flute Ensemble, will be performing a short concert of madly quirky pieces of music. Techniques featured include flutter tonguing, whale sounds, pitch bending, jet whistles, and singing into the flute. Strangely, this all occurs in an entertaining format that might leave you feeling a little less crazy.

Learn to Skate Winter 2017

30 minute group instruction & 15 minute practice skating. Skaters must bring their own equipment. Parents must be present during practice. Lessons from 5-5:30pm OR 5:45-6:15pm, with a 15 minute practice open skate intermission from 5:30-5:45pm.
