Foster Gallery Exhibition: Color

'Raid, Ouimette, Wyman'. Visiting Artists at 200 Main Gallery

200 Main Gallery Welcomes Visiting Artists, Tiit Raid, George Ouimette and Keith Wyman. Tiit shares his brilliant collection of impressionistic paintings, George is unique with natural items in his ceramic pieces, and Keith, aka, Concrete Pig' has integrated steel, wood and concrete to create truly artistic benches, tables and more.

"Show and Tell" by Grace Fechner

The first solo show of UWEC alumna Grace Fechner. The show is comprised of mixed media works that explore humans as social animals. Child-like materials and techniques are utilized and finessed in order to abstract and echo the learning process through which people are taught how to accurately communicate oneself to other people, and also how to listen to and interpret others.

Sculpture Tour Eau Claire

Enjoy this outdoor, interactive, free exhibit of sculptures displayed nearly year-round, twenty-four hours a day. The sculptures are owned by the artists who created them and are loaned to Eau Claire’s exhibit for 48-50 weeks. Each May a new set of sculptures arrives in the Eau Claire community for display and enjoyment.

Art Exhibition: "Strange Children" by Kim Vaughter

Childlike colors and characters are thrown into awkward environments. Maturity found in adulthood and immaturity found in children's innocence is explored in Strange Children. Kim Vaughter is a painter and fabric artist living in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She enjoys colorful things, children, and red lipstick.

Hugh Mandelert Retrospective - Art and Addiction

This exhibit is a retrospective of the artwork of Hugh Mandelert, which has been generously loaned to the Heyde Center from the private collections of community members. The theme of the exhibit “Art and Addiction” serves as a catalyst for a community exploration and a dialogue of chemical dependency issues in the region.

Art & Science: Color

This is the kick off event for a program which investigates ways in which the concept of color is represented in various aspects of human culture and science: everything from the ideas of the color spectrum and the electromagnetic spectrum, to the interplay of mixing colors in art or even the role of color in racial constructs.
