William F. Kirk (1877-1927) was an internationally loved poet, humorist, syndicated columnist and baseball writer who grew up in Chippewa Falls. He is perhaps best remembered for his lumberjack poems in Scandinavian dialect. Jerry Way has selected a variety of poems from Kirk’s published books to set to music “Swampgrass” style.
