ABV Beer Club: Pale Ale Blind Tasting
Calling all beer nerds! For our March ABV Club, we’ll be blind-tasting a slew of Midwestern pale ales. The clean, bright style with a moderate hop profile, APA’s have become a bit of standard-bearer for American brewers and a go-to style for the warmer months that are (hopefully?) ahead. But what makes one superior to another and what are your own personal preferences? Well, there’s no better way to find out than to join in this special blind tasting. The blind tasting gives you the opportunity to sample beers based solely on the quality of the product in the glass, free from any preconceived notions you might have about a beer based upon the brewery/label, marketing approaches, scale of production or past experiences. It’s an exciting way to discover what you truly like best, while learning to appreciate all the various takes on a particular style. Class is $15/person and lasts approximately 1.5 hours, with around a dozen different pale ales in the mix.
