Connecting with your Consumers & Middle Agriculture with Lucie Amundsen

Dunn County Farmers Union in partnership with Just Local Food and Menomonie Market Food Cooperatives presents Lucie B. Amundsen of Locally Laid Egg Company. Learn how she grew her business on social media and continues to connect with her consumers on a personal level, and more about economics of middle agriculture. If you are a farmer or producer or simply interested in how we can work together to promote family farms, this presentation is for you! Lucie is a writer, marketer and reluctant farmer. She and her husband co-own Locally Laid Egg Company, a farm that provides pasture-raised eggs in Northern Minnesota and partners with a total of seven other mid-level producers. A former contributor to the Minneapolis Star Tribune and former editor at Reader’s Digest Association, Lucie has written for scores of publications in her decade-plus freelance career. She’s also authored a narrative nonfiction, Locally Laid, about her farm startup horror show and the stressed economics of Middle Agriculture from Penguin Books USA. Tickets are FREE, but space is limited, so please reserve yours today! Additional Sponsors: UW-Stout GreenSense & Sustainable Stout
