Eau Claire Memorial Winterfest Show Choir Competition
Winterfest Features a Full Day of Show Choir Entertainment Eau Claire Memorial’s 25th annual Winterfest show choir competition takes place on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at Memorial High School’s auditorium beginning at 7:30am. This event, hosted by the Memorial High School Booster Club features 20 show choirs from across Wisconsin and Minnesota. These talented high school choir students will take you on a journey of song and dance as they compete for awards including best vocals, choreography, female and male soloist and overall show performance. Local schools performing in the competition include South Middle School Encore, EC North Northernaires, Altoona Locomotion, Fall Creek. There is also a solo/ensemble competition that takes place during the day to spotlight some of these talented performers. The preliminary competition begins at 7:30am and continues throughout the morning and afternoon. Judging during the preliminary competition determines the show choirs that appear in the finals in the evening. The show includes exhibition performances by OASC directed by Katie Sandberg and Ben Schmitz and Eagle directed by Katherine Rapacz. Tickets are $10.00 for preliminaries or finals and $15.00 for the full day of competition. Concessions and retail items are available for sale and all tickets are available at the door.
