Wrapped in Pride: Ghanaian Kente and African American Identity
The brightly colored, geometrically patterned cloth called kente, made by the Asante peoples of Ghana and the Ewe peoples of Ghana and Togo, is the best known of all African textiles. Kente is a symbol of African pride and a powerful cultural icon. Examples, photographs and video are all part of this exhibit.

Ivy creates multi-layed, textural and surreal digital images that strive to synthesize the old with the new, without ever losing sight of appearing "hand-made". Emma's paintings reference "strange places in time - in childhood - where you know you've seen a monster behind the shower curtain, or your pet cat talked for a split second". Sandra paints contemporary devotional portraits.

"A Question of Manners" Fine Art Exhibition
The Furlong Gallery at UW-Stout is proud to present visiting artist Will Pergl in the upcoming show 'A Question of Manners.' Pergl’s art is represented by sculpture and drawings reflecting, “trivial systems balanced and braced in structures and form.” Pergl’s artwork is meant to suggest a culture, which seeks order and understanding in the midst of chaos.
