Lev Raphael has been publishing fiction about the Second Generation longer than any other American author. His latest book, "My Germany," will be his fourth translated into German. His memoir, "Writing a Jewish Life," explores how his writings have reflected his personal struggle to claim both his religious and sexual identities, describing his experiences as a son of a Holocaust survivor, his upbringing in a non-orthodox Jewish home, and his life with his partner and their two sons.

Censorship in Schools and Libraries

Through narratives and illustrations, this exhibit chronicles incidents of censorship dating back to the 19th century, as well as frequently challenged books and creative works.
