The River Falls Town & Country Art Club 2008 Members Exhibit

The Town & Country Art Club has been actively supporting artists and a variety of art mediums since 1957. There are currently twenty artists in the club working in watercolor, oil and acrylic paint, pen and ink, pastels, color pencil, print making, photography, fibers, weaving, jewelry, pressed floral and dried flower arrangement. The upcoming Town & Country Art Club exhibit at the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts will include two to four pieces from each of the club`s twenty members. The exhibit will showcase the club`s artistic depth and creativity that is the foundation of their mission éto share ideas, methods, and new concepts in support of the individual artist and in development of the visual arts in the River Falls community."

Somebody Else

Ryan Pfundheller is Somebody Else. Ryan, an Eau Claire area native, reflects his love of music through both his covers and originals. His covers range from bands like The Goo Goo Dolls and Dashboard Confessional to Tom Petty and The Violent Femmes. Ryan`s original style is even more diverse. His instrumentation ranges from the guitar, piano, and saxophone, to the harmonica, mandolin, and ukulele. Performance will be in the backyard of the Living Room, so bring lawn chairs.

Award winning tribal-jazz-funk! Each Garaj Mahal band member dedicates every drop of their education, history, and life-long passion for music to their audience every time they step on stage. Their dedication is no surprise looking at even a few of the talented musicians they`ve shared the stage with over the years, including Sting, Paquito D`Rivera, John MacLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, Steve Kimock, and Bela Fleck. The combination of the talents of guitar and sitar virtuoso Fareed Haque, world-renowned bass master and educator Kai Eckhardt, gospel-inspired funky jazz keyboardist Eric Levy, with consistently in-the-pocket, natural-born drummer Alan Hertz, brings Garaj Mahal fans back again and again.
