Jazz in the Valley Art Crawl and Sale

Call for artists to display original art work during the Jazz in the Valley(JIV) Art Crawl and Sale, March 2-April 6,2009. Artwork can be hanging or 3D and must have a jazz inspired theme. SEEKING TALENTED VIDEO CONTRIBUTORS

Volume One magazine is gearing up to produce a variety of video content for its website at www.volumeone.org. If you have skills in shooting and editing video (documentaries, narratives, art films, whatever) we`d like to take a look at a demo reel and talk to you. Independent Film Project

Indie filmmaker Doug Phillips of Rice Lake is interested in producing a feature-length film called "Lightning Strikes Twice" in either the Twin Cities or the Chippewa Valley area in spring. Shooting on weekends only. He'd prefer the Chippewa Valley location, but needs to locate a dependable Cinematographer and other crew who are willing to work for current expenses (meals, travel etc.) plus Deferred Pay. The Cinematographer should own or have access to a film-look three-chip camera such as a Canon XL or GL or a Panasonic DVX100, plus lighting and sound equipment. Phillips is an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker. This new project will be submitted to IMDb-qualifying Festivals, resulting in publicity and exposure for all cast and crew. We put them to use by fixing and giving them away to people who need them, maintain a free parts collective, and turn them into moving bike art creations.
