Eau Claire Jazz Fest Art Crawl
The Eau Claire Jazz Festival seeks jazz-inspired artwork by local and regional artists for display in downtown Eau Claire restaurants and businesses. The Crawl April 5-May 5. L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library
Eau Claire’s public library features a rotating schedule of artwork and themed shows from local and regional artists. The ground floor has wall space dedicated to these shows, but the second level features a quiet area exclusively for two and three-dimensional artwork.

Threshold Singers
This is an opportunity for women to share the gifts of their voices in compassion and truth at the threshold between life and death. Threshold Singers sing in hospices, nursing homes, and homes. Singers have no religious affiliation but the repertoire includes hymns and over 300 songs written by other Threshold Singers. You need not be able to read music, but should be able to “carry a tune.” Please attend one of these Informational Sessions if you might be interested in joining the group.

Playwright’s Contest – Call for Scripts
The Chippewa Valley Cultural Association/Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls calls for regional playwrights to submit scripts for a juried competition. Winning scripts will be produced at the Heyde Center during the 2011 season. Original works or adaptations are acceptable, and may be drama, comedy or small musicals (original scores will also be evaluated). Plays may be single- or multi-act. Your scripts will be treated “as if copyrighted”. Please submit a synopsis with script. Deadline is May 1, 2010.
